Zombie pokemon still die if they run out of HP. This means that they are turning into a zombie themselves and cannot hold items, be deposited into the P.C., have healing items used on it either in battle or out of battle (pokemon centers are okay, they have special equipment to deal with these situations), learn any new moves, or evolve. Zombie Clause: If one of my pokemon survives a critical hit from a zombie pokemon (which we will define as pokemon with sprite and name changes that aren't fakemon, such as Boilbasaur and Gorelax) then they become infected. This only works until the third encounter if it's a dupe, I either catch it or move on.ĥ. Dupe Clause: If I see a pokemon I already have (living, dead, or undead) as my first encounter, I may skip it. Unfortunately, like most drunken shenanigans, this appears to have resulted in yet another adventure through Hoenn.
